Our Celebrity Judges of 2013

CONDRA EASLEY, is co-owner of Angelica Pâtisserie, received her formal training at several prestigious pastry shops in Paris, including Fauchon with Pierre Herme and la Maison du Chocolate. Her educational background includes studies at Cacoa Barry School in France, Callebaut College in Belgium and skills classes with the British Sugar Craft Guild in England.

JULIE FADA, is Editor for NorthBay biz magazine, writes its monthly column, “Wine, Dine & Deal,” where she reviews restaurants in Napa, Marin and Sonoma counties. She also writes regular features about food and wine, including her “Hidden Gems” appellation series. She has extensive experience in the restaurant industry (most recently at GTO’s Seafood House in Sebastopol), and her first journalism job after college included reviewing restaurants in San Francisco for The City magazine. Look for her new column in Mischievous INK, a special section of Napa Valley Life, which premiers this summer and will focus on one of her favorite pairings: wine and music.

ROB HOGANCAMP, is the Executive Mentor Chef at the Ceres Community Project. Originally from Alabama, Rob brings his southern charm, his exquisite tastes, and a wealth of experience to his community and loved ones. With more than twenty years in a wide range of commercial kitchens, a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and a certificate from the Santa Rosa JC Sustainable Agriculture program, Rob is now proud to work with local youth, guiding them in principles of nutrition, culinary knowledge and heart-centered, hands-on learning. He loves what he does and he is committed with passion to produce beautiful food and nourishing community experiences through his work and service.

PIERRE LAGOURGUE, is a Culinary Instructor at Ramekins Culinary, Sonoma. Pierre’s career began in the south of France where his family runs a hotel and restaurant. He received his culinary training in France and Switzerland. He spent two years training at the Ritz Hotel in Paris where he studied under various demanding master chefs. He moved to San Francisco and opened Chez Leon Restaurant, an award winning restaurant. He then created a French family bistro, Chez Peyo which ran successfully for 27 years. Pierre is passionate about food and wine and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others.

JEFF MALL, is the on-hand Executive Chef at the Zin Restaurant & Wine Bar. Jeff attended the University of San Francisco where he earned a degree in Hospitality Management and then went on to graduate from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After graduating, Jeff moved back to Northern California and began working with chefs and mentors of different disciplines such as Jeremiah Tower, Bradley Ogden and Anne Gingrass. This variety of experience helped Jeff to develop his own vision of American cooking.

JOSH SILVERS, is the Chef and Co-Owner with his wife, Regina, of Petite Syrah, Three Squares Cafe. Chef Josh Silvers finds his inspiration from Sonoma’s incredible artisan producers and the vast array of fresh, organic produce available in California. An active Slow Food member, Josh consistently focuses on organic and sustainably farmed fruits and vegetables.
